ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTORS
PAMELA TURNER: is a playwright and director with credits in the United States, Europe, and the Pacific. Her most recent original plays include Voices Deux (2007 New Plays Festival, Theatre Decatur, Atlanta); Cosmeticos, (2006 XPT Adult Series, Center for Puppetry Arts, Atlanta); Funny Valentine (2007 LiveWire Theatre, Chicago; 2004, Seven Stages Theatre, Atlanta; 2004 Spoleto Festival USA); The Lady and the Poet (2003 Spoleto Festival USA; 2003 and 1994, Theatre Gael, Atlanta); Valentines Day (2001, Pulse Theatre Ensemble, NYC).
Current projects include Frijoles on the Side (2006, commission, Fly-By Theatre, Atlanta), The Faces Project (2007, commission, 7 Stages Theatre, Atlanta), and Burning Man (2006 Stage 3 Theatre Company’s Festival of New Plays, Sonora, California).
Funny Valentine was a winner of the 2006 American Theatre Coalition Playwriting Competition. Burning Man was a semi-finalist for the 2006 PlayLabs at The Playwrights Center, Minneapolis, and the 2006 SheWRITES competition, Synchronicity Theatre, Atlanta. Male Man was a finalist for the 2004 Heideman Award (Humana Festival) and the Chester Horn Award (TheatreRats, NYC).
PAMELA is the Artistic Director of multiShades•atlanta, the Atlanta Regional Representative for The Dramatists Guild of America, the Editor of ShowGuide magazine, and the Producer of PlayWorks 2000 for the Association of Theatre in Higher Education.

HANK KIMMEL is the Co-founder and President of Working Title Playwrights, an Atlanta-based theatre company dedicated to the development of playwrights and new plays.
HANK has written more than 50 produced plays, many of which were recently featured in the Spring production of Hank Kimmel's Shorts at Jewish Theatre of the South. For the last two years, he has been invited to participate in the Kennedy Center Advanced Playwriting Intensive, where he studied with many notable playwrights from around the country.
As a playwriting teacher, he has worked with a range of emerging and advanced playwrights, as well as high school students. In addition to his work as a playwright and teacher, HANK is a mediator, lawyer and tennis pro. He is a graduate of the Emory University School of Law, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and Brown University.
